At our last meeting we decided on a few things:
1. We will be meeting on Friday, May 14th at a Mexican destination TBA to discuss Oscar Wao...details to come.
2. After this date, we will be meeting on Wednesday, June 30th at MoBot for the Jazz Festival to discuss Miss Lonelyhearts & the Day of the Locust by Nathanael West. These are two separate reads that you can find combined together in the same book. Be sure to get a copy with both texts.
**Note that we were planning on getting to the Gardens somewhat early to scope out a spot and to discuss the read before the music starts in...
3. Our next read after this will be The Great Perhaps by Joe Meno. We will be meeting on Sunday, August 1st at Jenna's for brunch (there will be no July meeting). I didn't write a time down, so Jen...you tell us when you want us & what you want us to bring. I realize this is a ways off...
I will be emailing Left Bank our reads so hopefully they will be able to order them & have them in when we need them. A few more posts to come...
